Sports Injury Massage

Similar to remedial massage therapy, this treatment uses massage and mobilisation techniques to treat conditions more specific to athletes.

Whether acute injuries like Achilles tendonitis, muscle fatigue from a recent match, to reoccurring injuries like hamstring strains, aching backs ,plantar fasciitis, sports massage can provide the answer.

Sports massage Manipulation

A regular sports massage can help prevent injury by improving the condition of the muscles. The therapist will identify muscle tightness, trigger points and scar tissue which if left untreated may lead to injury. Sports massage therapists require a thorough understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, in order to provide an effective treatment.

Massage, together with mobilisation, stretching techniques and ultrasound, can produce fantastic results to many common sport related problems.
